What the CA94HC was designed for:
I was looking for a longer high quality rod that had some versatility. I wanted something that could be fished from buoy 10 to the upper Columbia with wobblers but could also be fished with 2oz. of lead on the Siletz. I needed a rod that could handle the pull of a Delta diver in strong ocean currents with a tip that was extra sensitive for wobbler and spinner fishing. The CA94HC is that and more. The added rod length really helps prevent tangles when I’m fishing five people out of my boat. If your gear is not in the water then you are not catching fish…simple as that! There are times when I’m wobbler fishing that I’ll have on 24oz. of lead. With the CA94HC I can tell if a wobbler is out of tune or tangled…even with that much lead, which is something I have never been able to do, even on high end rods that our competitors make. Sometimes I’ll leave the wobblers down for an hour. Wobblers out of tune or tangled don’t catch fish! We spend money to have the very best electronics, boats, lures, etc. Don’t overlook the rod. A good rod can handle a nice salmon but a great rod can do that plus tell you what’s going on under the water!

You simply cannot break these guides; even if you bend them to the blank they will spring right back into action.
